SAVE IT! Curriculum Guide

Our program reaches kids where they are in an age-appropriate, fun, and thought-provoking way. We use hands-on demonstrations, open and honest discussion, skits, and up-to-date information to keep each student engaged and involved.

7th Grade

Our program starts with a five-day presentation about healthy decision-making, and how decisions about risky behaviors like drugs, drinking, tobacco, and sex, may affect people's lives in ways they might have never considered.

Updated outline will be posted soon.

8th Grade

(Middle School Boosters)

Students receive presentations that apply healthy decision-making to issues they might see in their own lives (Peer Pressure, Teen Parenting Issues, or Refusal Skills).

Updated outline will be posted soon.

High School

Usually in 9th or 10th grade

Students receive a five-day presentation about healthy decision-making, focused more specifically about dating and relationships.

Updated outline will be posted soon.

High School
Booster

The following year, students receive a one-day booster session that revisits their first high school presentation. In-class presentations include some time for issues that students want to discuss.

Outline will be posted soon.

After School:
Leaders Club

Starts in 9th Grade

Students wanting to learn more about healthy decisions in a supportive environment may join a Leaders Club and be a member until high school graduation.

Based on the nationally-recognized S.T.A.R.S. curriculum, students develop confidence and leadership skills by encouraging classmates to make healthier decisions, too.

Outline will be posted soon.
